2 headed snake

Exactly, the only quote I could think of is (which i disagree with) was better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all.


Love is the most amazing feeling in the world, but the worst is to have it and loose it. I personally would have rather never felt it in the entire world, then to know how amazing it is, but then be forced to be without it.

If you were normal and then had a problem that caused you to be mentally retarded, then you might know what you're missing, but if you never knew what it was like to be normal, you dont know what you're missing!

how would a 2 headed snake eat? would both heads need to be fed? i'm very confused....

I saw something on a show when i was a Kid. They had a 2 headed Rattlesnake, in order to feed it they had to place a piece of cardstock between the heads. they did feed both heads. (even though the food went to the same place)

Another snake at the San Diego Zoo has 2 heads as well and both heads are fed in the same manner that the Rattlesnake was fed... but i would start to wonder about constriction of the other head with a 2 headed Python or Boa.

Edit: I dont feel bad for that cute little guy in the photo. As long as he is happy and healthy he could make a wonderful and very neat pet for some one who knows how to care for it properly. (I would love to have him)

Don't understand what you mean by that? Down Syndrome is something that happens with abnormal cell division of either the sperm cell or egg cell (in most cases--there are two other, much more rare types of DS--where it occurs differently) the abnormal cell division causes the fetus to have three copies of the 21st chromosome, instead of the normal 2, which causes the abnormality. It's really a sort of freak occurance and, as far as I know, isn't something that "we developed" (as in created?).

My uncle has Downs Syndrome--and he's a pretty grumpy guy sometimes (only if you make him wash dishes BEFORE he gets to eat lunch--he's very into food), but he loves Shania Twain, Dolly Parton and pretending he's a Police officer. He's 32 and works once a week washing dishes for my dad at our restaurant and works a few days a week in the food court of a local mall. Overall, I'd say he's a pretty satisfied human being--and I certainly don't pity him.

What happened to make him how he is, is a freak occurance in nature. He--and many others with DS are living longer now, thanks to medical advances, and living quality lives. Nathan has a good sense of humor and even sarcasm--and it catches me off-guard sometimes. He's super protective of his nieces, too--he's threatened to "arrest" my boyfriend before. :)

Sorry to be long-winded about it...and it's a little off topic of a two-headed snake.

So a 2 headed snake is any more sad than a scaleless snake? Both are NATURAL abnormalities(sp?). Would you suggest it would be more kind or less sad to just cull the snakes with these deformaties off? I sure hope not

ok...now i am really confused...a scaleless snake? any picyures of that floating around anywhere???

Everyone of the color morphs is an abnormality from the wild type. SOO then technically you (you as in everyone not just one person) should pity any color morph. many two headed snakes are prized by collectors because they are so different, which allows them to live great lives.

lets just say I'm glad I dont have two heads... I'd outweight the one ton man. All I do is talk and eat, so if I had a mouth for each... I don't even wanna think about it... lol.

but yea, as long as the snake is healthy I see no reason to pity it at all. Seeing as BPs should be kept alone (not to mention they're not that bright, so it probably wouldnt realize it's any different from a "normal"), the snake has no reason to believe (can they even "believe?") that it's "not right". Just take the extra percautions to keep it safe from hurting itself and enjoy it for the animal that it is.
