Now why can't I get any cool colors? All I ever get is black berkies and black hoodeds. I really need another male, although Caesar is a great buck for me.

    They look awesome!

Thanks all...The overwhelming number of rats came from my total inability to plan rat production. It has hurt me before and seems to have done it again because I only have 2 litters that are at the pup stage. I learned a hard lesson about how rats don't like to breed when the temps get too warm. About a month ago the temps started to get warm in the rat room. That is when the production stopped. I just put an AC unit in the other day and now its down to around 72 degrees and all is well. Hopefully production will pick up.

Yep it's super important to plan your production Jamie. I'm pretty handy with that though I've had times in the past where a male failed to produce for me or I had bigger than expected litters. My problem remains trying to manage the colony so I end up using the rats up before they reach a "too large for anything I have to feed" stage. :)
