I am going to go with the Helix then. We have had issues with our landlord about using too much power (not that elec. is high here, but I want to conserve.) Plus I want it to remain at One steady temp..
I appreciate all of your help everyone! I am about to purchase. :)

I am happy to say, that I ordered the grounded version of this t-stat from Reptile Basics! I am happily entering the world of thermostats, vs. rheostats. Granted, the r-stats have served me well, but it is time to graduate.

Congrats Jen. I am currently running 9 Helix's, 1 Ranco and 4 rheostats. I think I love my Helix's the most, though I will say that they all do a great job.

Helix and herpstats are top of the line, herpstats have more options and the herstat pro is the ultra thermostat. But for the price range your looking in helix or the reg. herpstat.

You can use one thermostat for more than one rack or cage, but they need to be identical setups, each thermostat only has one probe to guage what the temp needs to be. I use ranco because I can have up to 8 racks running off of one unit though I like having one thermostat per 2 racks at least.

I will be upgrading to herpstat pro when I see it fit.
