    Mason you sound like you're doing it all the right way. Confirming feeding is a great step, it allows you to also see exactly what they feed and in what manner they offer so you can duplicate this at home (best to work on changes in feeding either before you ever get the snake or awhile afterwards...not during the settling in period). Since the snake is eating live pinky rats, will this store be your supplier for them? Nursing rodents are often hard to find locally so it's important to know upfront where to get your prey from, especially if you have a live feeding snake.

    Glad to read that your wife is comfortable with a baby BP. They really are generally easy going snakes and quite appealing with their lovely shades and that sweet face. Like any snake they have the ability to act up but generally BP's are a very easy natured snake if treated with respect, kindness and lots of routine to their captive lives.
