    What in heck is "cross breeding"? If your snake's in a 7 qt then I'm assuming this is a quite young snake. Young snake's are defensive. You'd be too if you were little and figured the big heat source aka the human person, might eat you. It usually passes as they mature, though some snakes never take to much handling.
