Thank you for the compliments on her... I'm surely thrilled about having her. She will help me with my tiny snake complex :D She is also said to be an 06 just like Nag... only about 3x his size (my guess- I have no weight or measurement on her and haven't had them together obviously due to her quarantine!) Are females usually this much bigger already(I know Nag is tiny and that she had a better go of it being housed by professional breeders rather than living in a pet store and having parasites)

I went back to the show yesterday and they couldn't believe they forgot to give me clips and I'd gotten away with it! They gave them to me for free because I had bought the tank... so that was awesome! She's now securely in there!! Those clips are cumbersome and stupid looking, but then that sure beats the snake on cat or snake on dog battle that could follow if she were to escape!!

Those dogs! The neighbor kids play ball with my 4 pits through the fence... well I just replaced the fence because the dogs could get out and even my shy dog scaled the 6' chainlink to get to those kids (to play- which is weird seeing how she's scared of most kids) Well now that the fence is a 6' wood privacy fence the kids encouraged and aided the dogs in digging under the fence so they could still drop the ball to the kids (Proof will do ANYTHING to play ball)... First thing Friday morning Piggy's head was stuck under the fence (she's the 7 month old) I turned her and moved her and got her out...got dirty was late for work... that afternoon Proof got her head stuck... a 70 pound 5 year old, she panicked and worked against me! I ran back to the house to get help, but the back door was locked so I put my hand through it... (she's my soul mate, and I FREAKED that I couldn't free her head- but I didn't let her know that) then my friend came out and we kicked the fence till that board came out... I had my head over proof's eyes and I was trying to hold her head while Macho man took that plank down... she got out and is fine, the fence is repaired and precautions taken to protect her... yesterday I had to tell the kids AGAIN no ball through the fence! They were climbing on it and peering over the top... I told them they could play with them under parental (or my if I have the time!) supervision! Is it really too much to ask that their parents supervise them as they play with these 4 big dogs? And that they leave them alone when there's no adult present?!

I think I misunderstood flames on the thread about it before... (although I think I got what blushing is...) I thought flames were where the belly color goes up the sides a bit... like on Nag here to the right of his head:
    http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...onteCoil03.jpg

I think I *almost* understand :D I keep going back to look at her pic to see this flaming she's been complimented on... Can someone help me? My favorite part is the long line on her tail and right at the nape of her neck... I like the solid stripes... I know I'm easily impressed... I just love her color too... Nag must be about to shed again because he looks like an olive next to her!

Del, thanks for the new paranoia about them getting stuck coming in and out the same hole at the same time... let me know when you come up with a solution for that potential problem :D Has that ever happened to you or is that just a fear?

She seems to like to be able to poke her head out the top like a parascope and see what's going on, but then be able to stay in her hide... I still want to get her smaller hides, but she does appear to be getting comfortable in her current tank... except that she dunked her accurite in the water bowl *scowl* it was still working when I left, so it's not so bad :D

G: I think that birds nest is a cool idea! So apparently does your girl! You got a shot of that?

I was asked on another board about incidences where a Ball Python would have killed a human... I told them without doing any research that there would be very little data on it... and that I didn't believe it was likely given the nature of Royals and the fact they don't get big enough to eat things even as big as a baby human... can I get a little board input on that subject while I have a thread rollin' here? :D

I NEVER THOUGHT I'D STRING THESE WORDS TOGETHER...but:

    POOPY IS DEAD SEXY!

I got ya now... she's in a bird box... a nesting box... I was picturing a snake under a wooden wreath like nest LOL :D Pictures were quite enlightening! How big is she? I like her eye (I can only see the one, but it seems BIG and kind of telling, like you can see some life behind em...) What's she like?

I don't actually believe there IS a ball python kills a human story, but I was asked about it!

This is why I named her "Poopy".
I always thought Ball python look like Dog rather than snake from their colour and the face. They look like beagle dog!
So once I said "my BP is not snake! She is a puppy!"
But someway I have misstyped and the spell of "puppy" became "poppy"!
Someone asked me "why you named flower to your snake`s nickname?"
    (there is flower called "poppy")
Then I got idea from that and I named my snake " Poopy"!
Yes! Her poop is massive (will be massive when she become an adult). So I decided to call her "Poopy"!
Is it bad name? But I like it! Sounds good! "Poopy"

Poopy did poop last night and it looked so healthy! Looked like a dog dropping! Poopy well done! Good girl!

    :8: I think poopy is a charming name! She's obviously loved! :P

I couldn't really decide on a name for this new girl... long story short her name's gonna be Madame Evelyn Irish... but she'll be called either Lily or Eve... I know I'm nuts...

My fish in the office here gets renamed every day to help satisfy my urge to name new pets heh heh heh :D

I got 10 snakes and Poopy is only one got its own nickname.
Others are called "oi!" or just "you".

I think Eve is good name!( I like the flower lily, too)
    Not boring name.
But I think you will find some great name which is suitable for your BP.
    Discuss with your snake. :D

I have this message board because I can't keep my mind off the snakes at work LOL... otherwise she and I may be discussing names right now...

Do snakes understand the dangers that cats and dogs present? Or is that something they have to learn the hard way? She doesn't like the cats being around much, but will tolerate it... the dogs she doesn't mind unless it's Piggy the puppy who is waaay too hyper and who gives way too many kisses (she hasn't gotten to touch the snakes obviously because she's just a pup and is unpredictable still.)

What other snakes do you have?

There were white lips all over the expo this weekend... every one of them made me drool... tell me about yours... how is it to keep?

That's a very impressive collection... I def. don't have the courage for venomous reptiles! What's that like? What are the laws like on that where you are?
