I stood up front for the Killswitch Engage/Chimaira concert directly in front of the amp. Usually it only takes a night for the ringing to stop. After Ozzfest it took a while though >_< I suppose it depends on the sensitivity of your ears. If it doesn't stop in a few more days maybe you should see a doctor :(

I played in hard rock bands from 16 to the age of 35. I'm 43 and my ears still ring. I think I might as well start playing again, it aint going away.

Vitamin B and LOTS of it!

Pick up some large bottles of B or B Complex and take 1 or 2 pills with each meal everyday. It will take a while (several weeks or even months) but it can help greatly.

There are also liquid B supplements you can take but they taste horrible and you have put it under your tongue to be absorbed.

Vitamin B isn't absorbed well by our bodies so it takes a while to work and your pee will turn yellow and smell bad, but it does help a lot with tinnitus. :salute:

Yes, they are still ringing. I didn't notice it all day at work (I wear a headset and talk on the phone all day) but in the quiet of the bathroom, theys still are, but it has subsided quite a bit. I am seriously, honestly going to wear plugs next show I go to, and I really hope that anyone who reads this will do the same. This is a huge wakeup call for me; I honestly never even gave it a second thought since I had been to shows many times and it always went away the next day.
PantherCZ: is that the same b vitamin that they recommend for chronic fatigue? I have that also, and this might really be something to look into.. lol, if you don't know, that's OK, but I was just wondering if anyone knows about that, really..

For everyone that has tinnitus; do you remember how you got it? (Besides Raul, you explained it.)
They are fine now during the day with the din of life going on, but last night was rough and I was a millimeter within getting the fan out for some white noise.

so please people... think about that when you are listening to loud music or cuffing kids in the head... my friend has it from being cuffed. she has to have relaxing music playing all night in order to sleep!

What a horrible thing to do to a child! :( Think of how delicate their little heads/skulls are.. anyone who'd do that is nuts. I am glad that you brought this to light; maybe someone who would be unaware could learn something.

Yes I've heard of B being used for fatigue.

I had a constant ringing in my ears for a while, to the point where it would even affect my sleep. I got it from being in the Air Force and working around jets all day and listening to music a little too loud in my car while in high school.
