I would hate to sell something as 100% and not have it prove out.

then wouldnt the sperm have been used to creat the visual morph? i was more thinking say if you breed her to a lesser and she didnt become gravid but the next year you bred her to a pastel but lessers come out? or better yet a double clutch.

I really think the odds of this actually happening are pretty low; just something I was pondering and wanted to get some opinions.

A good friend of mine bred his Pastel to a female Het-Albino and the following year bred his Albino male to the Het-Female, when eggs hatched, he was surprised to see a Pastel along side Albinos and Hets.

As previously mentioned, those probabilities must be very low. I said to him, those Hets might not be hets after all, could as well been normal Pastel siblings. He is a very honest person and instead of selling the normal as Het Albinos, he kept the females and will be breeding them back to their father next year to find out. Will be interesting to see..

Could something like this account for many Hets out there that didn't pan out and were from an honest mistake.

Well, if it were honest, they would have mentioned the fact that there was something up with the clutch initially, I would hope...

But I do understand your point.
