I'd drive over there and say hello and just tell her that you saw her in your pasture and ask her if she wanted or needed something. Play dumb at first then if she plays dumb back tell her or show her that picture of her.

I know at my barn we had a problem with the neighborhood kids coming by, and messing with the animals and we even caught two girls attempting to ride the horses.

She might be from the city, and out exploring doesn't know that exploring into other people's pastures is a big NO-NO.
I'd go say hi, and see what sort of attitude you get.
"Hey, I saw you in my pasture the other day, but you ran off. If you want to see the horses, you should come ask, and I can take out to introduce you."
If you get attitude, you can mention that you can have her charged with trepassing, and that horse rustling is still grounds for shooting to occur.
But then me, I might have just shot first, I'm not neighborly.

Wow, I don't want to freak you out or anything. When we had a farm (I was a little girl) we would get tresspassers all the time. Usually men, with guns. My dad apparently never grew any big enough to stand up to a cricket so My mom was always the one to rush out there usually with a gun in hand and the police on their way but we lived 20 miles from town. Things started getting really bad, someone was coming on to our property and brutally slaughtering and torturing our animals. Before anyone says it could have been an animal, it wasn't. They weren't mauled, I won't go into detail as this is a family site and its very gruesome. But you get the idea. The reason I am telling you this is because anything is possible and I wanted to tell you to watch your animals carefully, very carefully. A neighbor who we trusted at one point came over with some treats for our goats, nothing out of the normal. She had goats too. Gave them to one of my moms very expensive Bucks, two days later he was dead. No injuries visible. Even though I am sure you do watch your animals because its obvious you love them, please watch closely.

I am just too curious to have not done anything. I did bring my gun of course; I would never use it unless it was my last resort and it was either them or me.. but i had it at the ready.
I "think" I have it figured out. Our landlord Mike (pretty tough guy; ex-military, gun totin' probably while he's in the shower) had come back from the woods about 2 hours previously, and my neighbor Joe was on the land with his tractor fixing his fences.. so I bet that the person had hiked into Mike's woods awhile before, and had to hide out and wait until they were gone through.. Mike has a habit if sitting in his tree stand for a few hours, surveying things and having a beer; and his stand is within view of their house. Then after they thought the coast was clear, I was just an added bonus, lol. I am kicking myself for moving out of the barn; I should have just waited to see what they would have done; and the horses were not walking to the fence; they don't like strangers, hehe.
I would go over, but there is no way I can go through their land to their house on the ATV with all the prickers and stuff, and I don't want to get arrested for driving the ATV on the road, heh. Now that I think about it more, their land borders Mike's funny; it almost cuts around the horse pasture where our fences are, and we actually had to redesign it to not go onto their land.. I bet that he/she was just hiking his own darned land and didn't even care about the horses; but Mike is definately hearing about it because they Were on our land. I believe he had some issues with them in the past over a border dispute.. geez, you move into East Nowheresville to get away from people, and this crapola happens!

I am realllly kickin' myself for at least not waiting for them to touch the electric fence!! Now that would have been a real gas.
    That is scary, Kristy.
The whole thing that has me more worried was that they ran.. makes me think what were they doing.
The best thing about how this place is setup is, you can see the whole parameter of the house, from certain spots. Unless you're in the woods a mile or so back, there is no hiding.

Thats what I was thinking, about them running. When ever we had someone stop at our barn that wanted to see the animals they would always come up to the house first an ask.

If it was harmless the person should have stopped and said hello and explained themselves.

Looks manly, but there seems to be a ponytail holder in-hair..? Not that it couldn't be a longhaired guy..
