Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!
Oh I meant to post Mikey's thanks in this thread. He LOVED all your responses and the smiley's and so forth. Thanks for the big fonts as it really helped him read your posts more easily. :) He would like mommy to tell all of you a big THANK YOU!
Also that now he's a big boy he wants to get called "Michael" not "Mikey". I'm supposed to remember this too and not use "baby words" around him either and not enter the bathroom when he's in there and only hold his hand while crossing the street. My baby is growing up *quick sob into the hanky*.
*makes a quick note to myself to NOT refer to him any longer as the baby of the family or I will get the minature version of his father's frown directed my way yet again* :O
Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!

Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!
Thanks again everyone! We're off to Toys R Us later to let the big boy spend his horde of birthday cash. So far he's got his eye on some sort of very cool army tank toy and a monster truck that flips and crashes to bits (then you put it back together and go ding up another wall...how cool is that for a 6 year old! LOL). Should be a lot of fun! There's nothing more hilarious then a small kid let loose in Toys R Us with a fist full of cash! LOL
Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!
Awwh, happy birthday to him! He looks so gentle and good with those critters, such cuteness! :aww:
Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!
He's actually very careful for a younger child. I guess being raised up around them he just doesn't know any other way and we're really strict with teaching all the kids that any living thing deserves proper care and respect. Mikey...ackkk...young Michael understands the difference in our feeder rats versus the breeders with names but even though they are "just" feeders we are still nice to them and treat them right because that's the right thing to do. He loves to help feed and care for the rats and feed the smaller snakes.
It is funny though when his little friends are over and all impressed or scared of our snakes and rats. Michael is just so laid back, sort of "yeah whatever, it's a snake, no big deal, let's play Xbox" sorta thing LOL. I guess for him it's just normal to have these sorts of critters around and he can't quite get why other kids make a fuss about it.
Re: Happy Birthday Little Herper!
That's awesome, what a great kid! :D "Chill guys, it's just a snake." Hehe, love it. Kids who are gentle with animals do my heart so much good, my brother was/is one of those. :sweeet: If we ever do adopt (we plan on an older child who really needs a home if we do) that'll be a quality we'll definitely hope to cultivate!

Sure there is a 26 year old man with a fist full of cash running loose at the national breeders expo in Daytona. :D

We're hoping in a few years to do a combination Daytona show weekend and family holiday to Disney. Should be hilarious (makes a note to hide the credit card BEFORE the snake show).
Why do I have this visual of a grown man jumping up and down in front of a table of morphs screaming "can I have this? what about this one? I WANT THIS ONE!!!!!"
