That rack you just posted, is it sealed? If not, you're going to have alot of problems with the wood retaining moisture and expanding/molding/falling apart.

Pet stores displays are not exactly your best example of how to properly house ball pythons. They are hoping this is a temporary situation until they sell them.

Don't add more until you can individually house them.

    Robin,

Hey I kind of like the idea of the tubs and I would be interested in doing it since I soon will be picking up a 2 yr. old female shes about 3 feet now so I wanted to find out if the sizes of the tub will mater? My male is almost 2 feet now and hes few months I belive the pet store guy never told me the age. Please if you can post some pics and all the stuff I will need and where I can get it. Since its cheap I will give it a try and see how much I like it. Thank you.

here is the supplies -- it should have been a 6 bin, but since one board was shorter on verticle and i got it 4 inches off floor i was one inch short so eventually i will replace the board but for now it will be the official feeding station.

7--- 5/8x16x48 --$4.98 each-- i had them cut to 32inch, still have 6 extra inches safety room.....

    4-- 5/8x12x48---$3.75 each-- verticle boards..

1-- 2x4 peg board -- $3.97 ---- cut to 18 inch in width. use scrap as a spacer under tub when installing boards for shelves. mine are spaced 7 3/8 inch from bottom board to top of next board..

    1-- 1 5/8 drywall screws-- $ 4.11

    6- 31 qt rubbermaid tubs --- 6.97 each

6-- feet of flex watt--- $3.89 ft

6-- cords for flex watt cheaper this way-- 2.99 each\

    1 thermostat --- 25.99

    total price --- $ 167.03 w/o tax and shipping...

it basically came from this website but i cut it in half
