    Anything that has lungs and nostrils can sneeze.

    A diaphram is the muscle that controls the expansion and contraction of your lungs.

    You need a diaphragm to forcefully sneeze. Snakes don't have that. That's the reason they can't cough, either, and why RI's are supposed to be so dangerous to them.

    The ambient temp seems good but do you have a basking area for him as well? Yes, there could be a chance that he is developing an RI. If you are worried, you should try to get him to a vet familiar with reptiles and talk to them about it. RI's can be fatal, but usually if it is just a bacterial infection and it is caught early enough, it can be treated and cured with a course of antibiotics.

    when I checked on him today there was no popping or whistling noise when he breathes, nor was there a fluid near the nose/mouth. But I will still keep an eye on his yawning, he seems to be doing that a lot (at least once every time I handle him).
