They don't even speak real french, they speak this weird Acadian style French that is a mix of Quebecois french, real French (you know, like they speak in France ;) ) Local slang/lingo, and English.......It's confusing at best, even if you do speak French :( All I hear is, ribbit ribbit :P LOL

Too funny! I just realized you live in London, Chris. My old stomping ground for a few years. Used to head over to London a lot when we lived in Woodstock.

    Oh and a few more....

    - it's pickerel (pronounced "pick-rill") NOT walleye (that one drives me nuts!)

    - if you are dumb enough to wander around the woods on the opening day of deer season, you deserve to be shot

    - duck season is referred simply as "blastin!"

    - if you buy a vacation home in Canada and you dislike being startled awake at the break of dawn on the first day of "blastin!" season...please move somewhere else

    - we have a chain of gas stations....their signs read..."Beaver....Working Hard For You!"....you may NOT point and laugh!

    - Woodstock, Ontario has a lifesize statue of a milk cow (complete with a full udder mind you)...they do NOT consider it funny if one attempts to dress it up in fishnet stockings and a hat (don't ask me how I know this)....apparently those folks take their milk production REAL serious

    - Wawa, Ontario has a giant goose statue...do not stand under the goose and expect that anyone will stop and offer you a ride...standing under a giant, concrete goose is considered bad form and just plain dumb

    - if you come north and somehow miss Toronto and end up in Timmins...well too bad for you...no one in their right mind actually WANTS to end up in Timmins! (yes we are secretly laughing at you between periods in the game)

Hey, does anyone know where Deseronto is? Mark's mom lives there! I have to say, that in Canada, it just seems so much cleaner, at least where we went around her house on the Reservation.. hard to explain.

Talk about good fishing! Deseronto is it from what I know of that area (Bay of Quinte area if memory serves me). I think maybe Canada is a bit cleaner Jen only because it's a fairly large country with a fairly small population. We humans are just like most other mammals, overcrowd us and we mess up our area and squabble amongst others.

Aleesha dear, now do take a deep breath because this is terribly shocking information but do you know I lived years in the vast wasteland of northern Michigan...WITHOUT MY TIMMIES FIX! (you probably just fainted dead away or broke into sympathetic sobs for my awful experience - I was very brave, I only whined weekly after the first couple of years).

Toledo however has a Timmies! Yes!!!!! I can now get my beloved double double and crueller! Life is good! :carrot:
