    As tempting as it is to purchase an animal from a petshop that isn't in good health, I personally wouldn't do it. As soon as you buy that snake they'll replace it with another that will be just as bad off. It's really a lose, lose situation for the animals unless there is someway you can convince the shop to actually take better care of their animals, but most of them just don't care.

    well i have to idea, one would be to get the snake before it dies(for free) and the other is to call animal control because its seeming bad enough to do so.

    I don't see them giving you the snake for free. If they were in it for anything other than money they wouldn't have the snake living under these conditions in the first place.

    Giving animal control a call is definitely worth a shot. Not sure how much authority they have in a situation like that, but it doesn't hurt to try. Maybe even having the officers coming out to their shop would be enough to make them realize they need to get their act together.

    I wish you the best of luck with this. It's hard to watch an animal suffer needlessly like that.
