    i've never tested rancos on a bator! i used them for cages before. the rancos tested fine, at most a 2 deg swing. most of the time 1 degree +/-. i've used rancos for a while now with no problems on cages and for my room heater. i'm sure they would work fine for a bator, i would set the temp like 87-88, just leaving more room for error. i'd rather have longer incubation than omelettes! :D

    I think Im going to be using a ranco next yaer, Ill let you all know how it is. Maybe this year if my girl took, which I doubt.

    How are you heating that fridge?

    Well, I will let you all know how it goes. That is what I have on my bator so we will see. I will set it low as you said just to make sure. I too would rather wait a tad longer

    I am using flex 4 feet of 11" flex watt.. it s a big freezer that I am heating. I may have to add a light bulb to just help get temps up quicker.. it is very slow even with that much tape. I too am using a Ranco on it
