Sometimes pre-mortem (is that a word?)...

The owner of the store was VERY old-school in his husbandry methods. He and I had MANY disagreements of courses of action to take in many situations.

Hypothermia is an easy way to euthanize animals. I have been told that cold-blooded animals (reptiles) do not feel when temps are too hot or too cold.

    Is this true?

I've seen heard dozens of conflicting statements.

The AVMA, based on research conduction, concluded in their 2000 report on euthanasia that cooling/freezing does not reduce pain in reptiles/amphibians and that formation of ice crystals may cause distress.

See page 20 of the report:
    http://www.avma.org/issues/animal_we...euthanasia.pdf

It works, but its not exactly "humane."

Don't expect to change a lot there. You may get a couple things but ultimatly it come down to corporate policy.
