She's doing better. At least she hasn't had any more seizers since she came home last night. I suspect that our vet will just up the dosage of her Phenobarbital in hopes that whatever went hay-wire in her brain to cause her to have all of those seizers will get it all back in order.

They sedated her to the point that she didn't know what was going on last night, walking and stumbling around like she was drunk and she was walking in to walls and such. Not cool. My father is pretty mad at them. Doubt we'll ever go back to that ERvet again. Might only be 10 minutes away from us, but the service and the Dr's there are not good at all, and really rude.

Honestly, you want a seizure dog sedated...the more doped up they are, the less likely they are to seize. Plus, a lot of the disorientation afterwards can be secondary to seizing...it really messes them up. :-( If it happens again, put her in a confined safe spot so she can't hurt herself stumbling around...bathroom with a big comforter on the floor, in case she falls...something like that.
I'm glad she's doing better. At least with clean bloodwork, it's likely she's not got any damage from a toxin. Cluster seizures are wicked to treat, so I'm really glad she came out of them! Some dogs we have to put on an IV anesthetic drip for days...you don't even want to know what that costs!
