christie, they're rotating positions for now. they only play infield now anyway. they aren't alot of the 6 and under teams!

That is wonderful that she is playing sports. There is a link I will try to find that shows the value of girls who play sports growing up and the % of girls/women who played sports and how they relate later in life ie are leaders, not likey to be around on in abusive relationships etc. It was really eye opening.

Let us know thru the season how she and her team or doing .

I sort of know how your wife feels and will feel the first time she takes the field. I know when my son at 7 first took the field to play football I cried.
I had always wanted to play football when I was young but back then girls just weren't allowed so I always played softball from about 9-18yo.

It was one of my favorite moments as I am sure it will be for your wife and you.

Sweet! Its that time of year again!! I love baseball. My brother had a game today, and took out the pitcher...!! The mound is 4ft to close to t the palte, becasue it is a smaller feild for a smaller leauge, so my brother got a hold of it and hit the kid in the temple. We knwo the kid too! And the bal leaves the bat 2-3 times faster than what it was thrown at, it was a 55 MPH pitch. He is really lucky.
