    I'm sorry but I have rats that are older than 3 years of age, and have eaten dried peas/lentils their ENTIRE lives, and have not had any problems with health whatsoever. They bleed and clot normally just like any other rat. The peas, beans, and lentils actually contain nutrients that clear out the rats' livers/other organs of harmful toxins.

    They also say horses don't have the ability to burp/vomit, but guess what... :)

    Well sure, and the same things can be said about pine bedding, and dog food with red dye, etc etc.
