I will concur with what Lawrence said. I only keep mine together for a couple days at a time though. I put them together for 3 days or until after a lock, whichever comes first. Then the male gets a break for 2 days. My female refused the male and a week later she ovulated and then shed.

Thank you Christie! I got a little concerned about weather or not they will have "the count down shed" if they had a normal shed so late into breeding... Still not sure if they do??? I love the security of a guesstamate countdown.... I THINK I read somewhere that some one's didn't give the Ov. Shed..???? So, as it stands for now.. I have marked to watch 27-35 days from now... If she sheds again, I'll start the count over! lol! Best strategy??? :P I know they were breeding with Cue, and I was about to separate when I saw them locked on the 17th... I dig the separate and replace method... that makes a lot of sense! & Thanks again !!!

This is my first attempt at breeding so I can completely sympathize with the anxiety. I'm hoping to have eggs by the very end of this month - early next month. I did see my girl shed once during the cycling, prior to the ovulation. My meager opinion would be to continue pairing them up until you either get eggs or they refuse to lock up. Start the countdown now, and if you have another shed restart the countdown. Of course if you anything like me, you'll just check on them twice a day anyway.

Feel for bumps like I showed you. I would bet she just had a pre ovulation shed. Keep an eye on her for intense mid body swelling. They both look great btw :gj:
