Good luck with that one! haha, snakes have a mind of their own. :taz: My salmon male is one of the meanest $$$$$ I've ever held. He will do anything to nail someone. Funny thing is that he's given up on striking me now. He must think he's wasting his time :P

Houdini did the same thing to a guy that was over one night. Him and my husband had like maybe 2 or 3 beers each. Far from even buzzed, couldn't really even smell it. Well this guy asked if he could see Houdini, so I said sure and got him out, he was fine with me as always, he had eaten 4 days before.

As soon as this guy slowly reached out, where houdini could clearly see/smell him. He wen't ballistic. Never bit but struck like crazy. So I put him away and apologized. The guy wasn't mad at all, but I felt really bad.

So how is a snake bite... I still haven't been bitten by a snake although I worked in pet stores and stuff and have my sister's corn and my ball... I'm sure my time is coming... gosh it can't be worse than the rodent bites... I've been bitten by pit bulls and would prefer and hand bite from a dog to a rat!

Nag got a little nasty with a kid that was over the other day, but that kid was shaking he was so nervous about Nag... so we got out Nugget (the corn) and he held him with shaking hands before he finally couldn't take it anymore LOL... Nag also got excited and struck at my sister when she was carrying him to the car the night we got him... I haven't had a problem though... which is good because he's mine LOL

You guys said your snake prefers certain people and loves certain people? How can you tell when a snake loves you? I never thought they experienced love or bonded to their people... shows you how green I am...:) Please tell me more!

They don't really... "bond". They become familiar or comfortable with you. There was an entire thread devoted to this subject not to long ago. :P
