    Well there is something weird on his nose. Does it seem to be a piece of old shed or just dry skin or..?

    Looks like a little bit of old skin...no worries...it will come off next shed.

    I would say to lay off handling completely until he gets 3-4 meals down and is feeding consistently. I know its hard advice for someone who just got it as a pet, but its better for him if you give him a chance to acclimate to your husbandry routine without the added stress of handling.

    Also, you could feed him on a 5 day interval if you are looking to get him up to a more comfortable weight.
