ok but next time we want pics! ;)
I think the first rule of owning a snake is to ALWAYS have your camera handy for those precious moments  lol.
Re: HAHA you know it's love when....
that may be cute, but getting bit by a ferret (like I did at work today 3 times. See if i give him water next time) makes me want to thump it in the head. Maybe I should stick to snakes. The only snake I've been bit by is a snippy corn snake we have at work, and he didn't even break the skin.

My son, when about 18 months old, bit me while I was not paying attention, and I scruffed him. Force of habit. Hehe...

WHAT?!?!?! :hmm:
Re: HAHA you know it's love when....
We have ferrets. When bitten by one (rare, usually when they are babies), I scruff the back of their neck to get them to let go. I do it calmly, without even thinking, and it is no big deal. When my child bit me, I reacted by trying to "scruff" him.
That said, I have also found myself absent-mindedly swaying and rocking our python (like as if to sooth a baby).
I have not been bitten by any snake other than a baby garder. I was witness to a huuuuuge snake yawn last night, though!

ahh...now I get it! thanks for explaining ;)

Sounds funny; most people would just freak out.. I guess it is just something you get used to.. it comes with "the territory." :)
Nope, a quick, defensive bite doesn't hurt.. but I would definately urge people to be cautious.. not too long ago, one of my females bit onto and started constricting my thumb. I had to have my fiancee peel her off gently; she was not going anywhere, and my thumb was quickly turning reddish purple.
Just a friendly reminder that, while a quick bite hurts nothing but your pride, they are not harmless!
