Re: animal plastics anyone?
I had the T-11 which was more than likely overkill. I had an adult male python in it and he seem to love it and thrive in it very well. That cage is 4'x2'x18". Most seem to house them in the one that is only 3' long.
If you go for the 4'L I would get the one that is only 15" high as oppose to 18". Little easier to heat.
Re: animal plastics anyone?
The cages in the pic I posted are all T-10's - 48"(L) x 24"(W) x 15"(H), and these are more than sufficient for the majority of adult blood/short-tailed python in my collection.
A T-3 would be fine for a ball python, IMO.

Re: animal plastics anyone?
KLG, are those the newest ones you ordered? They look great, did you get the belly cable with any of them, just curious because I noticed they are all stacked directly on top of each other and was wondering if that was OK or will they overheat or melt.
Re: animal plastics anyone?
oh man am i glad i joined this thing! you guys are so helpful! definately going to buy an animal plastics cage.( i only have one bp). but thanks for all your advice! it's so great to be able to ask people and get reliable opinions!
Re: animal plastics anyone?
What would you use for heating with a cage like that? Would I be better off to just select the "belly heat" option? Also what option would be best for lighting? Thanks
Re: animal plastics anyone?
I got mine w/ the belly heat option just on the warm side. If I ever ordered another one I would get the belly heat on the warm and cool side w/ each wired seperate and have each side on a t-stat so I would have better control than I had w/ temps and not having to use lights to keep temps up.
( I live in a house where the temps in winter are only about 72-73 ).
