Re: What was your first herp?
My first herps were two box turtles I named Donatello and April :) That was when I was around 5-6 and they lived in the backyard(where we found them).
My first snake was Amani, who I got in November of '04. I still have her and she's going strong at 1600g.
Re: What was your first herp?
For me, it would be my African clawed frogs. I kept several at one point, but they are all gone now.
Re: What was your first herp?
i think it was a green iguana. i called it Joanna, but i never knew it if was a boy or girl.
Re: What was your first herp?
The first reptile that I remember keeping was a Rough Green Snake. I kept it on top of my dresser in a 10 gallon aquarium....fed it crickets. I had it for around a year before releasing it back into the wild.
Great snake. If I ever get the chance to catch a local pair, I would like to keep them and breed them.....to populate my yard with tons of rough green snakes ;D
Re: What was your first herp?
Garter Snake...loved to musk me every chance it got...traded it for a ball python...and never looked back.
