LOL...Seriously though, I can take a pic of her feeding record, and of her on the scale, if it will ease your mind ;) No funny business here, just a snake that loves to eat and grow. Now that I've had to drag out her record card, I notice that she hasnt crapped since Jan 31 ( 4 feedings, 2 were multiples..so shes holding 6 rats. Cant wait for that one!! :() and if it will further ease your mind, I can weigh her then, to be more accurate....:sunny:

I have a buddy who has some snakes the same age as mine, he feeds huge prey items, as much as they will possibly eat them, and says I underfeed cause I use these itty bitty ones.....his snakes are half the size of mine ;)

No I believe you I was looking at your stuffed sausage thread. I'll have to say that my Mojave went from 135 grams on Dec 16 to 203 last week. So I just guess its mind blowing to see that kind of growth over several months.

    Good job!

Right on Ed, I just got the feeling maybe you didnt believe me...my bad ;) It's funny you mention that thread, cause since then I've gone to even smaller prey! The largest rats in my freezer now are just under 40 grams! And since then, Ive begun breeding my own, and once they hit 35g or so, they are either fed off, frozen or set aside for breeding stock. I have a few that will only eat live, I try to give them the 20-25g live ones.

I was skeptical for the longest time of such small prey items , but the feeding responses are insane these days, and its funny watching the big girls gulp down 30 grammers like popcorn LMAO You can always give them more than one if they want it, some dont.

    Chris,
She is definitely a looker. Hopefully she'll breed for you next season. Good luck with her. As for the thread derailment, while we are on the subject, I have a female Mojave that I got this year that was born in June and weighs...............1200 grams. I have not fed her large meals, just nice small meals every five days. Never misses a meal.

Rock on Tim, I was feeding the '06 hatchlings every 5 days or so up until they were about 6 months old, now everyone here eats every 7 days (except for a new little girl that I picked up last weekend who will get fed every 5 until she's bigger) I cant imagine what some of them might weigh had I kept them on a 5 day schedule LOL

I did forget to mention that my Mojave female has been on a 7 day schedule as of about 2 months ago.
