    Really? The last expo I went to was small (less than 20-30 vendors) and there were Helix thermostats there.

    I have used ZooMed rheostats (dimmers) on my UTHs (by the same name brand) for years. They work fine and my temps stay exactly on the dot. Now, this was a pretty expensive route to go; if I had it all over to do again, I would just go with Flexwatt and buy a professional T-stat. I plan on doing this in the near future, just because the heat pads are pretty thick and make it a little too tough to slide my tubs in/out in the rack we built, but it is not anything to do with poor quality or nondependability.

    Well since I didn't end up convincing my parents to take me to the expo I think I'll just save some more money and got the Flexwatt good t-stat route. Thanks for your replies everyone you were a real great help! :)
