    It probably has something to do with needing the old packaging so they just took the new packaging instead. Walmart has weird policies.

    Same thing happened to me last year (between October and November sometime). I take my ball python out to hold, thermometer's fine. Come back, blank. I've tried replacing it with several different batteries.. no go. Gotta get a move on that warranty! New animal on Sunday, if all goes well, you know. ;)

    Good thing you got a new one.

    That's true....I forgot about THAT happening. :oops: :rolleyes: Precious literally spilled his entire water bowl over his, and it "shorted out"...dead as a door nail....... So I replaced it w/a newer one I had on hand.....a day or two later I noticed the soaked one was working again. Sheesh.....but at least I didn't have to go out and BUY one! :carrot::rolleye2:
