    A quick question for those of you that own one...how did you calibrate it? by this I mean how do you know it is accurate? What source did you "shoot" where you knew the exact temp so you knew that the "gun" was accurate or off by X.


    Hope this question makes sense.

    Not trying to hijack this thread but thought it was a good secondary questions to help new owners (me being one :D )

    i have a raytek MT4 temp gun that is suppose to be accurate to within 1 degree.i highly recommend you get one with a laser as it makes temp reading so easy and fast.some folks sell these for $59-95,i thought i got a deal at $50.tonight on ebay (ebay#300078786472) there's one for $31.89 plus $6.99 shipping.once you have one you'll use it constantly.have fun!
