    They are really in tuned to the weather...a major system just moved through the entire country and your ball python knew it before your weatherman did. They can sense pressure changes (yes, even though they are in a cage inside a house) and other natural cues that tell them that its probably not the best time to have a full belly of food.

    No time to worry yet!

    My 05 girl has been fasting for almost 4 months now. I've watched her weight closely and only noticed about a 35g loss within those 4 months. Its been hard for me to bare, but she still looks healthy as ever. She shed 2 months into the fast, and has been actively thermoregulating. Point being relax, if you don't have a scale yet, consider picking one up and keeping a good eye on her weight throughout the fast.
