I agree...the anatomy of the horses is very good. The girl in the top pic is very good as well...the girl in the bottom pic needs work though. They are very good drawings, with a nice sense of movement...
If you're looking for a good art website try wetcanvas.com
They have specific forums for posting pieces for critique...:)

Looks to me like you have a pretty firm grasp on equine anatomy. Try drawing from a direct source more often to learn what you need to draw from your mind. Also, spend a lot of time on your drawings. Don't deem them finished just because it has been a couple of hours.

Hehe; my biggest thing with drawing or painting is, that it seems like none of my work is ever finished. I like to add, change, and tweak things periodically. I have one painting in particular, that I did of an old train station in 1999; I still find things I want to change on it from time to time!
I need to just sit out in the pasture with the horses this spring/summer and draw them; of course I would get frostbite if I tried now. :(

Photos are also great to learn from, as well as anatomy books... knowing the skeletal structure of a creature can help to understand why a body part looks a certain way, and what it would look like if that body part was in another position.
I would definately stress the time factor for finished pieces... the more time and effort you spend, the better the results will be.
On the flip side, it is also a good exercise (sp?) to do some quick sketches for more practice.
Re: Some of my drawings..
Trying to drag feedback out of people is one of the hardest parts of being an artist, Ginevive. ;) That, and feeling like a picture is finished. Did you know that Picasso hated going to the homes of friends who he'd given paintings to? Because he always wanted to "fix" the paintings when he saw them, lol. This is normal, no worries. ;)
Excellent job as others have said on anatomy! You know your horses! I pretty much agree with everything Rapture has said. Life drawing has always made the biggest difference for me, with photos being a nice backup. Keep up the good work!

Re: Some of my drawings..
Thanks; your guys' comments mean a lot to me.
I used to just sit and draw horses for hours, in my late teens; my social life was going through a pretty major overhaluing at the time.. so I just studned equine anatomy, etc. I had no access to horses for a few years, and it was depressing me; drawing and painting them helped a lot. I could create little worlds; put a barn in a field, put a little farmhouse over there, pepper the landscape with several horses..
Now that I have the real things, it is funny; much of my spare time is spent cleaning up and otherwise caring for them. Almost like I drew them into existence.. :)
