i was told both handle it but if she seems pissed off let her back in her cage and leave her alone...so i guess either way works...

I believe in giving all my kiddos the best start possible, and I feel that the hands off for the first week is a small sacrifice to make. Remember you're going to have 30+ years to handle your snake - give it the week to acclimate. Sit on your hands if you have to. :D
