Mike and I had a nice chat at the Taylor show with the Hulse's about this product (they sell it at their table there). They were both very impressed with it, gave us a lot of good info and we're likely going to go with it this year. Seems like a good product especially for us newcomers in our first breeding seasons with our snakes.

I am thinking of getting that.. I had a bad year last season with eggs that died.. I think it was too moist but it could have been genetics; who knows..? But I don't feel comfortable mixing stuff when this much is at stake so I am getting some of that. I saw it on Alex Hue's site and I will probably order from him.

You need some pointers, buddy? I can make a mean protein shake so vermiculite and water are no problemo!

Seriously, it is easy to mix up vermiculite and water. I haven't seen this product and don't know a thing about it but it sounds ok.

    It's perlite based.

I picked up a free bag at Tinley, haven't tried it yet. Several of the bigger breeders were talking about how they've switched to it.

I hope to try it this year. I got my fridge gutted today and my helix on the way this week:carrot:

Just need to order some more flexwatt to finish it up.

Though I would like to use the perlite eventually instead of this stuff. I went to home depot today to price out stuff for my reptile room and I checked the garden section and found perlite. It was $4 for 8 qt.
