I've seen the reptile basics, and the ap's in person and those who have them wish they didn't get them compared to the professional and better made Boaphiles. Trust me, compared together the boaphiles are much better made and the doors open much more smoothly.

Again its a judgement call. Poor customer service and a good product doesn't make me a believer.

I'd be kinda dissapointed myself to buy something and not recieve it for so long but when the demand is higher then the supply you just have to be patient if that's the product you want. my friend has a few of the boaphiles and I have to say that the build is definetly nice. I'm actually looking to get some plastic cages myself since the glass tanks are just stacking up... (not cool!)

I guess just shop around and buy what you like and has been proven to be a great product. Either way I've heard nothing but good praise from people with plastic cages so you can't go wrong with either I'm sure. :)

I think Jeff at Boaphile has great customer service. He is very slow at answering emails but then it states right on the web site that it is not the best way to contact him. I never had any problems w/ calling and leaving a message. He would return my call with in 12-24 hrs everytime.
His product is very nice. I have only seen his cages but I do own one of his racks.
I did own a Animal Plastics 4x2 cage and it was great. Very well made and sturdy. Their customer service is wonderful. Again calling them is the best and fastest way to go.

I have only seen Reptile Basics product online. But I do know from ordering from him that he is very professional, fast and good customer service.

If you pick any of the three you can't go wrong.

I do remember when I was shopping around for my cage I looked at Boaphile but liked AP better for several reason at that time. I think is was options available then. I think both now offer about the same. Except Boaphile does not use heat cable where AP does.

I've got 11 boaphile racks and they all work just fine. They are sturdy and well built. I've got some that are 5 years old now and they look as good as the day I got them. However they ARE expensive. Cost per tub is probably one of the highest out there. I recently bought another rack from www.monster-cages.com and it's a very interesting piece of work. I've only had it for a few days so I can't really comment on it yet, but I like the way it is made and I love the way it is heated Also, it's a lot lighter then a compairable stack of boaphile ballroom racks. It's made up of many plys of corrugated plastic and is very sturdy yet light weight. It was also several hundred dollars cheaper then a compairable boaphile stack. I'll have to take some pictures of it tonight or tomorrow and post them up.

Why does he have poor customer service? I've never had a bad experience talking to him. He usually has me rolling on the floor laughing whenever I talk to him.

I've personally, never had a bad experience with him. I know, personally, no one who has had a bad experience with Jeff. Have you had a bad experience with him? I'm only giving my personal experience with said company and don't really care what "fauna" has to say. This thread asked our opinion, I gave it. You have already said numerous times what you opinion is on this topic. Can we please leave it at that without getting into a drawn out debate on whether or not you or anyone else is wrong or right. Thanks.

Like we've done before, let's agree to disagree.
