I meant it's not the poster's fault. I can see where he'd be in an incredibly tough situation with it being his dad. It is most definitely his father's fault. It's one thing to report someone who isn't a relative to the ASPCA or other authorities that can save the animals, it's quite another when it's your father. It would be nice to think that someone in his position could make an anonymous complaint, but we don't know enough about his situation to know whether that's possible. Very likely, it isn't.

    Re: RIP Laila
After much talk with my mom, we've decided to move six snakes, a leopard gecko, and four tarantulas into our spare bedroom/storage area. It'll take some cleaning, but by next week there should be enough room to move everyone. It may take longer, though because the windchills here are around -20F.

I really did my best to help the animals out in his house. So many snakes have escaped only to be found dead. [One was even found down two blocks away dead.] Once they got to be living in my room, though, and I spent so much more time with them, they became more family than they had been before.

I've tried to explain to my dad about this, and how he shouldn't have animals if they're not being taken care of. His response was something along the lines of, "I gave them water yesterday" and "You feed them."

This is kind of rambley, but long story short, all of the animals are coming here with me and will be very well taken care of. Correct husbandry, regular feeding schedule, crazy amounts of pictures, and all that jazz.

I'll be sure to get photos once we're all set up.

    Thanks, everyone.
