ive had several boas in the past and almost all of them enjoyed soaking in thier water dish.i cant see the harm in letting them soak. if theres no health probs of course.

she's been a soaker her whole life. the woman/breeder who had her before me said she loved to soak... when we got her she had mites and i treated her... she stopped soaking. then i saw her soaking again, so i retreated for mites again (this was a few months later).

hubby and i were just talking and we do think perhaps it has to do with humidity... and shedding - i'll spray her enclosure and do a search on how to make a humid hide... cause perhaps that will satisfy her watery needs.

Hm.. I don't really know what to tell you. When mine soaked, it was due to mites.. then again, my friend's large female BCI soake and she has no mites..
