Re: Got a question for you guys........
I love the idea of a rodent rack. How about carrying spyder robotic products? We have quite a few people here with herpstats and love them. In fact, I am waiting to see how money goes so I can order a herpstat pro.

Re: Got a question for you guys........
I have a few of your racks now, am very happy with them now as well with thermostats - I will continue to buy your snake racks as is needed.
I too would like to see some more vendors out there with rodent breeder supplies being racks or just the tub setup's alone - I'm looking for some now

Re: Got a question for you guys........
This is going well, and quick too.
1) seems thermometers are something to look at. I am a little surprised due to the availablity at Walmart, et al but will check into it over the next few days.
2) The large tub racks. I have been tinkering with a few new tubs. Like I said, a bit swamped right this minute. The three coming up in the very near future are the SYC-600 30 qt. tub. Colubrid people will really like this one. Much better space efficiency on a sweaterbox size tub. I also have the STC-410 with the ub turned the other way (long way in). Third is a very small tub for hatchlings. This one is geared towards breeders that produce a bunch of babys and move them out in a few months or less. The rack is similar in footprint to my 32 qt. rack turned sideways. It holds 70 ( thats right, 70 ) polycarbonate tubs.
We are moving our shop this week. Needed more space and some other new upgrades on the CNC router. Hadn't planned the move until right after the NJ show next weekend but I needed to do some cleaning/maintenace on the CNC table anyhow so figured I would do it now. Once that is done and I am caught up again I will get these on the website.
Large tubs-trouble when shipping. Both in dimensional weight charges and in FedEx beating the crap out of them. The CB-70 is tough to get ther without damages. I will take a look at the dimensions on that tub and see what is what. It likely wouldn't happen until april or may.
3) IR heat panels. You psychic?? It will be very soon. Not gonna talk more about it right now for various reasons but it is coming soon and you will like it alot!

Re: Got a question for you guys........
No suggestions I can think of right now Rich. Just a comment though that I think it's very nice of you to say thanks as well as very forward thinking to ask for suggestions about future inventory. Nothing better than a good businessman who wants to know what his customer base really needs. Nice job Rich, it's obvious why you're very well thought of in the herping world. :)

Re: Got a question for you guys........
Stackable aboreal cages, multi-unit stackable terrestrial cages.
To be explicit, I haven't found cages that I like as much as the ones that Boaphile has to offer, but I am not crazy about waiting months for my order again. But I do like their models so much that I would order from them again even with the long wait.

Re: Got a question for you guys........
You should include your web address on your sig. I've never been to your website and assumed the link would be on your post? I've purchased from competitors but would like to check you out.

Didn't forget you.........
Didn't forget you.......Stuart and I were kicking around some ideas on the rodent rack thing right after you posted. Got some pretty good ones knocking around in my head as it turns out. Who would have thought:sunny: ?? It will not be in the very near future, but I think I will ponder it a bit more. I think I will run it around a bit with Neil Golli up in NJ this coming weekend and see what he has to add. Eight hours in the truck gives on time to ponder such things. Usually some good ideas from him. Though he has been bugging me for an incubator for the last few months, guess I need to get that going as well!
One of the reasons I DO NOT have 50 different designs is I do not want to always be 3 months behind. I would much rather be able to keep up. That limits to some extent how many designs I can offer and how fast I can add. To that end, we just expanded and moved the fabrication shop this week, guess what-put us a week behind! A long, drawn out pain but worth it. It will up our capacity to build, hopefully by quite a bit. We will see after this NJ show. I know it will be atleast somewhat increased so we will likely be adding more. I already have a few designs I am not even trying to sell yet. I also have some "show only" sizes as well and will be adding a page on the site(s) for those sometime in the near future.
Spyder Robotics- I have talked to them already, some time back. I have heard some very good things about their products though have very little first hand experience with them. He has a couple of things set up in his policies that I don't really like. Not bad, just not how I like things. For instance, he uses USPS to ship so no insurance/tracking, etc on my usual larger size orders like I get from Helix. You about have to have them drop shipped to the customer to make anything on them. The slimmer margin is ok on drop shipping though as I do not have to tie up a few thousand dollars in them at one time but I just don't like doing things that way. I want it in my hand, this way I KNOW when and if it got shipped, what its tracking # is and if it is available when I am talking on the phone with someone. No one to blame but me. Less for me to chase after and no excuses to make. I also like to have things like that for shows and that won't work with the drop shipping scheme. Also makes it hard to ship whole orders to customers together. There are a few other reasons as well, it is a bit of a balancing act to do it right and so far it just has not balanced out yet. I haven't forgot about them and I review the idea every few months. We will see how things go in the reptile world this year. It may happen, it may not. If I do it, I will do it right.
Oh yeah, finally fixed the signature. Thanks for reminding me westcoast!

Good to hear on the rat rack, I'll test out the beta versions when they're ready.;)
I received my 32qt. rack yesterday, it arrived in perfect shape! Keep up the good work.

Re: Got a question for you guys........
Hi Reptilebasics,
Seeing we're having a long thread on a very good subject \ site. Can I put in my dime's worth.
I have a suggestion. How about putting your location somewhere in your contact details. i.e Trinity, NC, which is reflected on your intro page but nowhere in the site itself.(From what we could see)
The internet is a big place, and I think new potentail customers would like to know if the potentail supplier is around the corner, in Canada or the USA. Google and Yahoo etc will refer visitors to any page within a site, depending on the search term, so your front page will not be seen.
Otherwise as stated in this thread, your site is nice and easy to navigate and not full of sales hype. Well done.
My Dad is busy with the impossible. Creating an index to all reptile sites in the USA. First pages published went up on 02\11\07, which is why we noticed the address thingy. Your link is done, but address needs to be updated.
