there is nothing I can do about the heat this week its just to cold... it was 20 degrees today and my house is not the warmest.. Just know that I am trying as much as I possibly can to be a good mommy.. my best may not be whats best but its not my fault at this point in time. I am currently trying to put a hole into a tupperware container.. which is proving to be really really difficult.... as for temps i got a new bulb for my lamp but it burned out within 2 hours of buying it... then we had a snow storm and I tried to take it back and they wouldnt take it.. so kyna is stuck with a 50 watt bulb for now. I will see if I can't sell some of my books to our used book store for cash.. belive me.. The condition of my snake is my top priority and keeping her was a peice of cake before I lost my job.

Just a note on the insulating the tank part, I put that fiberboard stuff on three side and it brought my temps up maybe 8-10 degrees! You could even use cardboard and jsut tape it in place, that might make that 50 watt work for you. Also try and put the water dish where it rests on a heatign pad (UTH) that should help with humidity some, or get it further under the light.

Oh and try warming a butter knife over teh stove then grab it with some pot/pan holders and melt the hole, hope that works! :salute:
