Hehehe! I didn't quit my previous job, I was part of a HUGE layoff (50K employees cut worldwide, downsizing from 90K) in October 2001, shortly after 9/11.

It took me a full year to find employment, I barely survived on unemployment, the loving support of my family, and credit cards. Still re-building my credit from that time, but rent, car note, car insurance and utilities came first during that year, the rest of the creditors got to sit on the sidelines and talk to my voice mail!

I say all that to say - once you've been out of work for that amount of time, and you are barely making ends meet - you really do learn not to let little things about jobs bother you, even the annoying bosses.

I can remember during my search being so jealous of people who moaned and groaned about going to work and would say "at least you HAVE a job!".

Worst year EVER to search - now I've got recruiters calling me all the time! LOL

I got an email today from one of the girls that I used to work with saying that the girl I couldn't stand working with quit and her last day is the 29th.

If I would have known she was quitting I wouldn't have left.
I liked my old job I just didn't like the drama that was involved with being in a small department with only 5 girls.

anyway.. yeah I won't do that again

I know what you mean! I work union construction....I drug up (quit), thinking that there would still be work at the hall since there usually is. Well I go and sign the book, and waited for a job, and they made an announcement that work is practically at a complete hault, and basically there won't be any jobs coming out of the hall until sometime mid March :O ...so I have a Loooooong break from work ahead of me lol. Enjoy your new job!
