    He doesn't breed ASFR's - he knew someone who had a few and got me one. I'm going to follow what Joe said above about trying to follow a normal rat up behind the ASFR. If it works great, if not I'll be on the hunt for a few for breeding purposes.

    African rats are like magic for picky feeders, and after several meals will normally switch to eating other rodents. breeding african rats is easy and they are very prolific! :)

    Justsome thing to try get a frozen thawed rodent about the same size as the african rat and when the ASFR is mostly down poke the head of the other in his mouth and he should continue swallowing it down too. I heard of this (I cant remember where) and I tryed it and it works.
    It's not something I do on a regular baisis but I wanted to try it with one of my girls to see if it worked incase I needed to for emergency purposes.
    Just a thought.
