    Mine is in the basement too. I have drywalled the room and I think it sucks the moisture out of the air.

    try putting a uth underneath his water dish. Works very well just make sure the bottom of the dish is thick enough that it wont get hot :D

    Ahh i see.In my basement its just the brick walls so i guess that is the differance here.
