Re: can anybody help me?
on top of showing her that you are a responsable caring pet owner. let her know that they only get about 4-6', depending on the sex, try to get her involved with your research. maybe some of the worries she has will be put to rest. good luck, and don't push too hard it will more likely make things worse.

Re: can anybody help me?
there's nothin we can do or say to tell you to convince your mother. There are thousands of people with the exact same mindset as your mother due to a bad experience, and it's unfortunate.
If she's said no, then begging and pleading may only make it worse. I've heard of stories where (as it's been mentioned), instead of begging, giving your mother facts. Pythons are constrictors, they do not contain any venom. They are completely harmless to us (except maybe the occasional nip here and there..but compare ball python bites to dog bites...dog bites will be greater, i promise)
Their maintainence is minimal, but it's not easy. It's not like watching a dog or cat, but it does take time and money to ensure they're in the proper environment.
Do some research and educate yourself with the facts and then attempt to educate your mother without driving her insane. and good luck with it :gj:
