yea i know im very responsible with him though so far. I mean i have his cage nicely set up, i bath him sometimes to relax him, i fill his water everyday.

And im taking him to the vet if i notice anything odd with him, but he seems quite content, minus a fast in his eating.

    Hi,

Just curious but what's considered a minor in U.S.?

In the U.K it means under 16 normally (18 for certain things like drinking mind you)

So dont be downhearted - in the u.k your already a major :P

I sympathise on the transport thing though as I don't drive and know how much of a pain that can be.

We return you to your regularly scheduled herpy goodness.

18 to smoke....21 to drink.....entrance into bars varies from 18-25 depending on where you are at....and the majority of other age related issues varies from state to state.

what do you mean by his cage is setup nicely? pretty means nothing to a ball python. that thermometer is important. didn't you say your snake was not eating and you were told he was probably stressed? taking him out of his enclosure to bath him will probably stress him even more

By nicely i mean the proper hiding boxes, heating, care of the cage overall.

and no i was never told he was stressed, im just asking because i know thats a common reason for snakes not to eat, especially bp's. :sabduel:

If the ball python you have is a young snake, there shouldn't be any reason for it not to eat if you are caring for it properly.

What you need to do is get that thermometer/hygrometer (also measures humidity). Find a way to get the warm side of the cage at 92-94. Get the cool side at 82-84. Humidity level should be around 50%. Don't handle or take the snake out for anything other than cleaning its cage or if you think it is ill and needs to be taken to the vet. After a week of not being handled and kept at the right temperatures and humidity level, and if the snake itself is healthy, it should eat for you.
