Del - How old / big is your snake?
Jinx was a peachy pink color with white boarders around his red when he was little. He was sold to me as a "Red Albino". At the time I didn't know what that was, but I just like him and his colors.

Here is a picture of him and the other amel I took in from a girl who didn't know anything about snakes. Jinx looked exactly like that other snake when he was little. Little did I know Jinx would do a complete color change in a full year.

    Hi,

She's about 4-5 foot-ish (can't disturb her as I fed her last night) and she aint no spring chicken.

I got her full grown from my old ex boss about 6 years ago. Heres a couple of old pics from the **ahem** venerable digital camera I borrowed from a friend.
Coulours are a little off but you can see she isn't a redhead. :D

    shedding,

Maybe she used to be bright when she was a bit younger? I don't know if they "dull" out in color over time or not.

I don't know either - I've only ever bred her to a normal male. I am thinking of buying a male blizzard though but by the time he got big enough to breed I should probably be retiring her from breeding to the elevated status of "grand dame supa-pet". :D

I doubt she was ever as nice a colour as yours though.:) Maybe the genetics have improved from her day ( I have no idea how old she is sadly) and all the new amels have much brighter patterns. Thats probably rubbish but all the ones I see in the pet shops seem to be brighter than her.

She does have a wonderfull temperament though.
