When mutations come into the country they are not packaged with CH normals ... there would be no way to identify a CH normal as a pastel sibling unless you were actually over in West Africa collecting the clutch out of a burrow yourself ... and there are only a couple people in the world that do that (other that the West Africans of course).

A point was made about selective breeding, a pastel, spider or whatever sibling is normally a nicer looking normal. :)

Robin,
damn, would you have paid more if i said "pastel sib"? :D
i'll keep you posted on this year's babies from her too.
the lesser sibs is the only sibs i've heard that might have something else going on. that isn't fully understood yet either. rdr would have the best info on that situation.

Maaaaayyyybeee!!!! She's getting so hot though Vaughn - I'm amazed how much brighter she gets with each shed. I get my new camera delivered to work on Monday - so I should be able post pictures again (I can hear the collective groan now! LOL).
Definitely do, you know my tastes in ball pythons now!
Re: Do Siblings make a difference?
I agree that it clears up wether it's CH and one figures that someone breeding morphs has higher standards and the animal has been (hopefully)cared for. My first BP was supposed to be CB and had ticks, mites, dehydration and was not cared for prior to my inexperienced purchase. My vet told me horror stories of how CH are thrown in crates of 100's and shipped resulting in all kinds of problems. He onced was highered by an importer to check shipments as they arrived to sort out the BAD ones, poor guys. When he saw my snake he told me it was very hard to believe it was CB. But like any BP purchase you have to trust the person.
