    The cool thing about carpet pythons is that they (expecially when young) are semi-arboreal.. they like to climb. They don't hide a lot, so for a display snake, they're one of the better choices.

    Babies are often skittish, some are nippy, but generally they calm down pretty well.

    This is my baby male jungle carpet python.. the color and contrast actually get brighter as the snake ages.

    I can vouch for the Kenyan and the Nelson's! They're pretty critters. After seeing April's we went and got an anery Kenyan and an albino Nelson's. We also got a Stimson's python. He'll stay pretty small too. But good luck in your deciding!
