    Re: rattie... um... situation
well, there was no fussing over babies at all so we left the three mom's together.

the mom's have created little nests all over the enclosure. all the pups are growing nicely... they are soooooo cute.

31 babies in total. :D i'm very happy - they all seem to be growing and doing just great.

i don't plan on having them all birthing at the same time again... i plan on having two go in with the male... wait 3 weeks and then another 2 in with the male... and so on for now on. ;) much better IMO.

but since they do well together... as long as it continues, i'll let them nursemaid each other's babies by staying together. just take one litter at a time an watch closely.

fortunately for us, since they live in my daughter's room... she's there watching, listening and interacting with them a lot of the time (remember we homeschool so she's not gone during the day) so if a problem happens... we should be able to catch it quickly.

and hey... 31 meals at 4 ball pythons a week... we'll have food for almost 8 weeks!!! i'm a happy mama!!! definitely worth it to grow my own food ;)
