    yeah that doesn't sound good

Oil is something you'd give to ferrets to help them with blockage.

I think it's time for you to find a new vet.

Yes and when you give mammals oil, it's usually mineral oil so it doesn't react with them negatively.

I also agree that you may need to find a new vet, especially if she doesn't know that snakes may not have a bowel movement for months.

    MINERAL OIL! HEY! Thats it!

    Its because she was constipated.

By the way "SatanicIntention" I do not recall ever telling you the amount of time it had been since my BP had gone poo poo!
I had also told you I do not have a "herp" vet in the city and like I said before I would go to them if I had one.
The vet I go to right now is great and I will continue to go to her.
    I appreciate your concerns.

But anyway people, I do realize you love to attack me, BUT for some odd reason I remember this thread being about "How to Probe a snake", not about "Jonny2184 needs a new vet".

Well they shipped my probes and I cannot wait to see if my corn will be Mitch or Mitchel. Right now heshe is a Mitch!

I read on the net some guy said to sex a BP but looking at the way it's tail ends, and not by probes because you can hurt them. He says it takes practice and out of like 19 snakes he sexed them all correctly without a probe.
I was checking my snakes rear last night and it does end pretty fast so I hope shes a girl.
I measured her last night and shes like 3'3" and about 1year 4months.
I forgot to measure her girth. I will have to do it this weekend!

Does anyone know if the snakes actually bite when you probe them. My BP has never ever hissed or bitten, I would be freaked if she did!?!

I just noticed that I have received a lot of "negative" feedback on this post.
A month after the post was ended. *weird*
    3 of them actually...
In any case I kind of feel I might owe someone an apology?
I do know one person that may want apology is Becky. Sorry!
Personally I didn't mean to be sarcatic but it seems everytime I post a question looking for help on any thing to do with my snakes some people start to tell me what I'm doing wrong and totally go off topic.
I do understand that your only trying to be helpful but I personally felt like I was being told that I was "WRONG". That I'm going to a vet that doesn't know what they are doing. It kind of hurt a little. It kind of hurt because your telling me I'm not taking care of the snakes the best possible way!

But perhaps I did jump too fast. I feel my vet is very good. I've been going to her since I've had pets. I trust her and I feel I'm giving my snakes the best possible care they can get. I might not be perfect. No one is, I'm doing a lot better then many many snakes keepers out there.

anyway I will end it here and apologize to anyone I've offended.
I do value everyone's input, and take into consideration everything you all tell me.
Sorry for being such a prick.
    Talk to you laterz

PS- I am getting a fella who knows how to probe to come over to my place and give me a hand. I'll let him do one of the snakes and maybe I can try it on the other.
