I know what you are saying...its silly to try and sell 25% or 12% het ball pythons...but I don't see anything wrong with advertising 50% possible hets, ESPECIALLY when you are talking about investing in some of the more rare, expensive recessive morphs like lav albino, caramels, etc...possible hets are a great way to raise some breeding stock AND have a great chance at producing some homozygous animals later on.
I agree. I was going to make a post almost exactly as you did.
I think a pastel should not be sold for more just because it's 25% or 50% het, but people need to know prior to making the purchase. Also, if you are buying a male pastel and the seller has two for sale for $150 each, one is 50% het orange ghost, and you plan on breeding that male pastel to an orange ghost anyways, you might just want to grab it.. it may be a long shot, but you still can't loose.
Post all of the genetics and let the buyer make the choice. ;)

Maybe I should have been more direct and to the point with my earlier post, this is exactly what I mean and please dont read anything other into it.
I do not think that you should charge any extra because you are selling a pastel thats 25% het. ghost, and I think it should be sold as a regular pastel. You can tell the buyer afterwards, but dont use that 25% het as a sales ploy!

I don't see anything wrong with telling that theres a possibility for other genetics. 12% is kind of a joke but 50% oh yea. Don't raise the price, because your selling lottery tickets then, but information before the sale, sure.

I agree with "I do not think that you should charge any extra because you are selling a pastel thats 25% het. ghost," but I don't agree with "and I think it should be sold as a regular pastel."
25% het means that snake has a 25% chance of carrying a gene that I may not want. If I use that pastel in a project I intend to do over many, many years.. and that pastel turns out to be a het, it could screw up my plans. Next thing you know, ball pythons will turn into what cornsnakes have turned into. You can't even by a CB normal cornsnake to prove out genetics of a new snake, because you have no idea what multiple hets that snake carries.
This is my opinion, you can agree or disagree, but this is a very reasonable opinion.

By saying that I think it should be sold as a regular pastel, I mean that there should not be any additional charge because it is 25% het for whatever. now go ahaed and twist that anyway you want. and please do start talking about cornsnakes again!

I may have misread or you may not have been clear, but I did not 'twist' anything.
The way I am reading your statement is that if you sell a Pastel that is 25% het for something, you will sell it as "Pastel" and not inform the buyer of the 25% until after the sale is complete. I do not agree with that.
If you mean to say that you would sell it as a Pastel that is 25%, but not charge extra for the 25%, than I agree completely.
So, which one are you saying? Please clarify.
