    That doesn't happen to all of them but it was what she was told and her experience and now mine.


    I am far from an expert but that makes absolutley no sense. Recessive males are no different than Codoms or normals. Some will breed in their 1st season; some won't.

    It has nothing to do with recessive vs. co-dom vs. het vs. homozygous vs. normal ... it has to do with the individual animal ... sometimes virgin ball pythons need some time ... I've had 2500 gram females in their 4th winter not produce when placed with my strongest breeders ... even after seeing copulations all season long.

    They're living animals and in the end, they'll do what THEY want ... not what YOU want. :P ;) :D
